George O'Neil's case is just heartbreaking -
how a state can pursue an innocent man, repeatedly - in a manner that Hitler's goons would have baulked at...

Alexander Economou's case is of particular interest as he was cleared of rape but lost all his money pursuing the girl's father for libel who insisted that he did in fact rape his infamous daughter, Eleanor de Freitas, and did so on broadcast format which is most clearly libellous.
Alex lost the libel case - despite the overwhelming evidence that her father had lied - she was a bare faced liar, who had not only made false rape accusations before but was also desperately covering up a lucrative job as a prostitute - the root cause of her father's shame and her suicide.
